Criminal Issues
Health care fraud investigations
If an AHCA inspector visits your place of business and finds deficiencies, a quick response and correction of these deficiencies may prevent a referral to another agency for criminal investigation. The sad truth is, mere administrative issues can sometimes be misinterpreted by an inspector as evidence of probable wrongdoing if they are not handled closely and cooperatively with the inspector. Our team is experienced in overseeing the development of a Correction Plan that will comply expeditiously with AHCA, and most importantly, prevent any unwarranted suspicion of wrongdoing.
FBI or state investigations
Federal and state investigations normally end with the law enforcement agents contacting the suspect and questioning them. All initial contact with the officers is critical to the success of your case. This is because in many instances, by the time the investigators confront you, their investigation has been going on for some time and they have gathered evidence that can increase the level of reasonable suspicion that you or your business may be involved in criminal activities.
